  1. I used to be able to do 140ish on leg extension. I took a break because i do another sport that has alot of running (basketball) i do leg press too but anyways when i did the leg extension again my knees were hurting and when i ran my knees were hurting too it was manageable and not bad but now when i squat my knees hurt a bit so ill do squats sometimes but my go to are staircases and leg press. Just stay safe guys im never doing leg extensions again

  2. People have this retarded mentality that just because someone who has popular channel or more videos that it automatically makes them the best. That's not always true. Instead of sticking to one business, try to expand your mind and also listen to what other experts have to say. I listen to various experts in order to conclude what exercises i need to do and how to do them properly. I don't think Scott is necessarily attacking Jeff nor is Jeff attacking Scott. If you don't want to listen to Scott, then by all means, you are free to roam somewhere else. If you want to listen to second, third, 10th, etc opinions for best exercises, then it's always a good idea. This mentality of Coke vs Pepsi is sickening. Ignore the haters Scott, and do the best you can. One thing we all learn is that once a person gets too popular, people tend to worship them until something happens. I say, who cares. There is also Jeffrey Ethiers that i listen and get advice from. It's always good idea to see what others have to offer.

  3. I am 70 years old, 5’9”, 158 lbs! I have continuously used a leg extension machine for 50 years non-stop! I have no knee pain whatsoever! I do 100 plus rep sets with 90 lbs two to three times a week! I run and recently completed a six hour stair climbing event with no pain!
    The secret is to use a leg extension machine where you put a barbell plate on a steel bar near your feet! The resistance is almost zero when the leg is bent! The resistance increases as the leg straightens, and when the kneecap is free to slide in its groove!
    The cable machines put resistance in the kneecap when the leg is bent, the kneecap is pushing into the femur, and the kneecap is not free to move in its groove! This is what causes the problems! And so people are missing out on an exercise that can improve their knees and legs instead of ruin them!

  4. Leg extensions put incredible strain on the patella and ACL over time. Yeah they're great for building muscle, but they will almost 100% damage your knee in the long run. You should honestly take this video down, you are gonna get people hurt by spreading this bullshit.
